Not guilty pleas have been entered for an adoptive father accused of raping a boy in his care at a southwest Ohio home where authorities say another man also allegedly raped the boy.
A Montgomery County court official in Dayton said a judge on Thursday entered not guilty pleas for the 39-year-old Troy father to three counts of raping a child under 13 and four counts of complicity to commit rape of a child under 13. The father also has pleaded not guilty in Troy in Miami County to charges that he raped three boys in his care.
An attorney representing the father in the Dayton case did not immediately return a message seeking comment on Thursday.
The Associated Press is withholding the father's name to protect the children's identity.

Former school treasurer Carl Shye Jr. was charged with embezzling more than $470,000 in federal funds between 2005 and 2011, federal authorities said today.
Shye, who lives in New Albany, was treasurer of 17 schools in Ohio, including five in Dayton.
His arraignment date is June 21.
“School treasurers bare the sole responsibility of protecting public funds,” said Carter Stewart, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio.
Shye permanently surrendered his state treasurer’s license to the Ohio Department of Education in March. Since mid-2011 he has been named in five audits of four separate charter schools.
Shye has been accused of over-paying himself hundreds of thousands of dollars, and of poor oversight of the schools he served at as treasurer, including five now-shuttered charter schools in Dayton.
A state audit released March 20 named Shye as jointly liable for nearly $55,000 in undocumented spending during his time as treasurer of the now-closed of Petersen Entrepreneurial Training Enterprise in Dayton.
Another audit released in December accused Shye of overpaying himself $84,814 — more than four times his authorized salary — while he was treasurer of Nu Bethel Center of Excellence in Dayton.

A woman nearing the end of her pregnancy was arrested Wednesday, accused of beating up another woman who was walking her dog, police said.
A 34-year-old woman was walking her dog around 4 p.m. in the 900 block of Salem Avenue when she was attacked and beaten up by Theresa M. Robinson, 28, who is nine months pregnant, according to police records.
Police said the fight began after the suspect yelled at the dog-walker from her front porch, telling her to keep the dog off of her yard.
After a short exchange, the suspect came off her porch and attacked the victim, pulling her hair and punching her several times in the face, according to records.
Both women were taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Police said the victim suffered a broken nose and had bumps on the right side of her face.
Robinson was arrested on suspicion of felonious assault and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
